The Food
6 – Pickled Onion. The Onion was good, but slightly too acidic.
9 – Pickle. The Pickle was outstanding!
9 – Cheese / Ham – Outstanding selection and quantity of Cheeses, although it somewhat controversially included Brie, it was local and I loved it.
8 – Bread. I suspect a Par baked bread, but it was fantastic and slightly warm and lovely.
3 – Spread (better be butter, or a choice). Butter, packet variety.
5 – Presentation. Presentation was outstanding.
5 – Salad, etc. Salad was out of the world good. All fresh, good dressing, freshly made coleslaw – I want to give it 10 out of 5…….
5 – Originality. So much fresh stuff, and the grapes were a lovely touch. Well balanced flavours – and lots of it too!
Food total: 50
Beverages
9 – Tea. A generous pot, nice taste and poured into the cup, not onto the table.
Drinks Total: 9
The venue
7 – Service. Café style service which was efficient and polite. Quite a joy.
8 – Atmosphere. Eclectic mix of people. Walkers, tourists, boaters, people out on a boozy jolly on a hire boat, children, cyclists. Entertainment in the form of watching people try to row a boat who cannot row a boat.
5 – Location. Location is stunning!
4 – Toilets. Very good facilities.
